not really. same old same old. i have 'cross on the brain. ordered some sew-ups for 'cross even. spendy. but they'll make me faster ... how could they not at $45 a pop? there is going to be a race out at the stadium in october. so i've got that to look forward too. actually it looks like there will be a number of fun weekends for racing in the next two-three months. good stuff.
got two good rides in over the weekend after battling a cold throughout the later part of last week. up and over rist down to masoville then to loveland on saturday. then yesterday estes park and back. i guess i can't get enough of that ride. power is coming back (i actually could go up all the steeps in the 21, sometimes the 23 - NEVER the 25 which is a first for quite some time - it gives me hope) and i'm back down to an acceptable weight for one who is considering toeing the line in some competitive events. yup, a strapping buck-forty-two - which is only about 9 or so more than when i was racing every weekend, 30 weeks out of the year or something way-back-when.
