seemed smart enough. 35 degrees at 8 o'clock. it was going to get warmer in town. from what i'd seen in 4 days in the backcountry the snow was getting a tad windslabbed. and we were slotted to get hit with a storm before days end. that meant new snow for skiing tomorrow. obviously today was the day to ride a bicycle.
fixed gear bliss ride up to rawhide. stereolab setting a rhythm that conspiculously mirrored that of my cadence. autopilot through the tailwind section ... squinting at the obscured mountains to the west.
strangest thing i saw was a dude taking a nap at the side of the I-25 frontage road. no bags, no suitcases, no back pack. nothing. except his clothes. 5 miles from the nearest town. i was close to getting a picture of him but thought it best to leave well enough alone and just ride.
that was about 1 o'clock this afternoon - maybe 40 something degrees and sunny. light and variable winds sse. now its 1130 pm and its snowing. 35 degrees - those wet, giant, heavy flakes. wind nne, 10-20. classic upslope scenario that may stall on us a little. i wonder what he's doing now.
