skied monty pass on sat. good snow despite the recent warm weather. almost a blue bird day. i got sunburned. had a newbie in the bc who did great. it was cool to see someone embrace a new experience wholeheartedly. one of the many bright memory's of the day was when h. bobbled her skin and it rolled down the slope. Suey thought it was a toy so he ran down there and brought it back to her. what a good dog, he scored some points with her for sure.
today was different weather. overcast, threatening with snow. and that all fit my mood to a tee - running on a little frustration this morning, but it doesn't mean anything really. not worth it. anyway, to 7 utes mountain, an old abandoned ski hill that takes quite a bit of effort to skin back to. about 1.75 hours to get the summit. but the effort was worth it. a strong 4some and we got in 7 big ass laps in perfect powder ... very nice. then the temp dropped about 15 degrees and the snow started blowing sideways. it got sour real fast. i was glad we called it when we did. despite the fact that i didn't sleep all that well the night before (!) i felt strong all day. maybey i'll post some pics tomorrow.
