saturday up and at 'em on sat. at 6. me, chris p., and timothy (aka dim) rocked the rental excursion (dims mazda was in the shop after a minor fender bender) up to cp for some backcountry turns. we were thinking that the snow would be better than average. but we found out differently. after scoping out 4 different aspects and shots at montgomery pass (aka monkey pass) we decided to call it a day. snow was weird and heavy. a bit discouraging, but i still believe there is no such thing as a bad day in the backcountry. i'd rather being skiing in the mank than not skiing at all.
oh, and my new bindings are the shiznet.

yesterday i rolled the fixey for a little over 2 hours. my toes got cold, but i enjoyed myself. next time i'll wear the northwave winter shoes.
