shout out

to my gb seth. heretofore known as Big Daddy S. yup, ss is a d-a-d. little Lucy finally decided to come out and jump into the fray. what a cutie!

to my gb lenny. stoked that him and tara found a house in austin. that is such a great town, i love that place. why don't i live there?

to sth, who ran her best half marathon the other day. something around 1 hr 50 min if i remember correct. placed in the top 150 of like 800 people or thereabouts. yup.

and this guy a motivated individual who's living the dream. i love it - "I thought it would be fun and I like to make people laugh. It is for an extremely good cause and I want people to come forward and sponsor me.". well i dunno about y'all, but that made me laugh. as far as i can tell he's well on his way.

estes ride yesterday. it was hard. coldish (50's and shady in the bg thompson canyon). and f'ing windy up on top. oh man. yeah well. a new mix in the mp3 portable dance club helped ... a couple euphoric moments here and there. one in particular found me cruising into the sun next to loveland reservoir, modest mouse setting the tempo. nice. i was a little stressed leaving the house, so it was a high spirited ride. kinda hurt me in the end. just what the dr. ordered. i think i see a 'cross race on the horizon ...

anyway. for all of those out there making decisions, working hard, getting by, undertaking adventures or tasks of all variety and nature. big stuff, small stuff, whatever it is that has your brain busy. i leave you with this little gem that i've been mulling over the last few days:

Rushing into action, you fail.
Trying to grasp things, you lose them.
Forcing a project to completion,
you ruin what was almost ripe.
